VIGILAIR® Room Surface Sterilization:
An Ultraviolet solution that is green.
Contamination free labs are essential for Life Science researchers. The smallest amount of biological contamination can corrupt results, costing valuable time and resources.
Traditionally labs employ several tactics to stay clean. One of these is the frequent cleaning of surface areas with caustic chemicals. This technique is expensive and labor intensive. Additionally, this cleaning method yields materials that are considered hazardous waste.
The VIGILAIR® Room Surface Sterilization (RSS) system is a better, greener solution to keep labs contamination free. RSS uses the germicidal effects of UV-C to inactivate biological contaminants. UV-C emitter lamps are installed inside a lab, usually along the perimeter of the ceiling. Lamps are configured to expose surfaces to UV-C, delivering a predetermined dose of energy. Typically systems are engineered to provide 5 log or greater decrease of a target pathogen.
Following installation, VIGILAIR® technicians commission the RSS on site, ensuring the system's efficacy and functionality. Once commissioned, RSS operates automatically and needs little maintenance. |
