Energy Savings

Over time a building's HVAC system becomes less efficient due to the contamination that fouls the system's cooling coils. Typically, cooling coils are treated  with acid to clear the build-up of contaminants. But as the photos here demonstrate, such cleaning is often superficial.

Click here to read an article explaining why acid cleaning of coils is frequently ineffective.

Fig. 2 - When cut open, this cross section of the coil reveals contamination acid cleaning left behind

VIGILAIR® irradiation of the coil returns the coil to 'as built' specifications.

VIGILAIR® users can expect energy savings in the following areas:

  • Fan energy use decreased
  • Chiller use decreased
  • Chiller pump use decreased
  • Set point temperature returned to original standard
